Post held a sit-down banquet in honor of POW/MIA Tribute. It consisted of a formal setting of a POW/MIA setting by the cadets from Abilene Cooper High AF Jr ROTC (see picture) and a reading of a proclamation by the Mayor of Abilene. Also features was a speech by the District 8 Commander. Some of those in attendance were as pictured from left to right were Post Jr Vice Commander Mackie Crossan, Master of Ceremonies James Avery, Abilene Mayor Weldon Hurt, Post Commander Julio Martines, Post Sr Vice Commander Rebecca Jackson, Past District 8 Commander Melvin Harper, Dyess AFB Hospital Commander Christopher Kelly and District 8 Commander Cedrick Shells.
