Commander's Corner

Commander Julio Martinez

Comrades,

The month of September was great that we accomplished all our programs.

Thank you for all the volunteers that dedicate their time and talent, they’re the ones to be successful in everything we do.

Let’s congratulate our newly elected Jr. Vice Commander, Mackie Crossan. He is dedicated to our Post and to serve our veterans.

Our first responders’ breakfast was great, and we received a big response from our community. A big thanks to our kitchen staff for preparing a wonderful dinner for our POW/MIA Ceremony. It was an honor to have Mayor Weldon Hurt to read the mayors proclamation for the first time and the 7th medical group commander Col. Christopher Kelly and the Dyess AFB honor guard. Thank you all for being part of our ceremony. And, to Col. James Avery for doing a great job as a master of ceremony and to our District 8 commander Cedrick Shells as a guest speaker and of course to our auxiliary members for always supporting us. Always remember that we still waiting for our POW/MIA to come home to their families.

Thank you and God Bless!

Julio E. Martinez
